Map of My Heart Pixie Cropped Kimono
Map of My Heart Pixie Cropped Kimono
This print was created using an original 1846 print from New York entitled “A Map of the Open Country of a Woman’s Heart”, it depicted exactly that, a fanciful imagining of a woman’s heart, drawn as a map. We completely adored the concept, but definitely didn’t adore some of the language! So the design team at Market of Stars got to work, swapping out many of the country titles like “Land of Fickleness” and “Land of Vanity” (no thank you), to what we feel in our own hearts — like “Land of Strength” and “Region of Reckless Joy”. Some of the original wording we decided to keep - including “District of Love” and “Land of Love of Dress”- because hey, fashion will always be in our hearts!

Caring for your pieces.
The luxuriously soft, natural bamboo & wood viscose blends are easy to love and easy to care for - whether you’re at home or travelling. Hand-wash (or machine wash on delicate cycle only) by swishing your piece around in cool water with a mild detergent for a minute or two before rinsing. Lightly squeeze out the excess water, then roll up in a towel to remove additional moisture. Gently shake out and reshape your piece in all directions and hang to dry. Finish with an iron if needed. Should any shrinkage occur, gently reshape while damp, and then carefully iron after drying to restore the size and finish of your piece. Voila! Like new — again and again.
