It’s hard to believe Bespoke Hearts has just turned one. This milestone marks a year full of courage, creativity, and heartfelt connections all made possible because of you. What began as a quiet idea has become a home for hearts, and your support has shaped this journey in ways I never could have imagined.
Looking Back: Lessons & Growth
Launching Bespoke Hearts meant months of preparation and dreaming, often late into the night. I quickly learned the magic isn’t just in the products, but in the surprises along the way.
The challenges felt very steep at times, but they taught me resilience and adaptability. I doubted myself with every new hurdle, but I discovered strength in simply showing up and learning as I went along. Boy! did I make some mistakes!
Moments That Made My Heart Sing
I still remember the thrill (and nerves!) of hitting “share” on my very first Instagram post. I cried because I was exhausted, excited and overwhelmed … then I laughed, because I had no followers - no one even knew I was there yet. Classic. It was equal parts terrifying and hilarious.
I also recall being anxious about packing my very first order - handmade bronze heart earrings that had come all the way from Canada in a delicate glass vial. Hands shaking, I carefully tucked in a handwritten note before sending it on its new journey. I still include a little heart in every order, it makes my day, and I hope it brings a smile to my customers.
Challenges, Support & Quiet Gratitude
There were tough days: wrangling paperwork which I still don't have a grip on, wrestling with website tech and sticky packing tape, and wondering if my quirky ideas would resonate. Not everyone understood what I was building. Some friends and family quietly stepped back. But others became my lifeline.
My parents cheer on every late-night win. Joe patiently helps me decide on product purchases (even when I’ve changed my mind a gazillion times). And Lachie - my one and only amazing son - never misses a post. He religiously likes every single one and stays my biggest fan. I’m sure he’s secretly mortified but he never says a word.
